Music Experience

Spencer has been playing guitar for 20+ years and playing professionally for many of those years. He attained a Higher Diploma in Music from the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford Surrey in 2000. During his time at the ACM Spencer was asked to try out for Ronan Keating's band and subsequently played many TV appearances with Ronan on the single "Life is a Rollercoaster" which got to No1 in the UK charts. TV appearances included This Morning, CDUK, Live at the Millennium Dome.

After this, Chesney Hawkes was looking for a guitarist and Spencer attended the auditions and was successful. He then took on a busy touring schedule which lasted for 2 years, touring throughout the UK. Spencer then auditioned for Darius Danesh from ITV's Pop Idol, having met Darius and his band when playing with Chesney Hawkes at some of the Roadshow performances. Spencer featured on the video "Girl in the Moon" from Darius Danesh's hit album "Dive In". Darius Danesh's Dive In Tour took place in April and May 2003. Originally fifteen dates, the tour was expanded to include twenty three dates due to public demand.

After 4 years of constantly touring and doing numerous TV appearances on Top of the Pops, The Saturday Show, CDUK, This Morning with Richard and Judy, Greasemania, Spencer also appeared with Lulu on the Eastenders Christmas Special performing "Run Rudolph Run" in Albert square just outside the Queen Vic. This led on to many other performances with Lulu on Children in Need and many other primetime ITV shows. Spencer also did a Irish tour playing guitar with Sinead Quinn. Spencer has several years experience at Hatch Farm Studios working along side Terry Adams editing and engineering. Credited on the single by "3rd Edge "In and Out" which got to number 19 in the Top 40 Charts.

Spencer has also engineered and edited with Hearsay, 5ive, Chesney Hawkes, Sinead Quinn, Gemma Wakeman. Spencer has composed many BBC radio jingles. Mohawk Studios is now working with NJC Music and Ambiel Publishing writing for their artist roster as well as recording private projects from customers who book out the studio.

Sinead Quinn - Singer/Songwriter

"I loved having Spencer in my band. He's a great player, has an awesome sound and vibe on stage. Good guy to have around and there's no mistaking that mohawk"

Darius Campbell - Singer/Songwriter

"Spencer Horton is a talented and gifted guitarist, and all-round great guy. He is reliable and professional, has a creative edge, and can hold his own against the best guitarists out there. I don't know what we'd have done on tour without him!"
